Merry Christmas 2016!

It’s time, it’s time! Christmas 2016 has arrived!  This is one of our very favorite family traditions and one I love sharing with all our friends and family around the world.

Our 7- year tradition

Over the past 7 years of filming our Christmas decorating, we have been in 3 houses, 3 different jobs, and several different seasons of life. These videos have definitely served as a great reminder of how fast life moves, how we really have no clue what God has in store for us next, and to simply enjoy the gift He has given you for today. Also, fun fact. Justus is wearing the same shirt as last year on the video. Maybe I’ll put new clothes on his Christmas list.

Just kidding.  He will probably still be wearing the same shirt in next year’s video.  That kid….

But I think that’s what I love about these videos too.  One day I’ll forget that Justus has NO CLUE when he has outgrown clothes.  Or that Elliana and Avery fought over dancing in the tree skirt every year.  Or that we always start and end every video the same.

But these videos are documentation of the journey our family has made.  I’m forever grateful Brent had the idea to start this tradition 7 years ago!

And I’ll be honest.  We always sit down to watch them and I ALWAYS tear up.  My kids now know the sections that make me cry so they watch me while I watch the video.  Little stinkers!  So thankful for this little family of mine and all the memories God has given us together.
